We will come to
your home or place of business anywhere in our
service area, day or night, and
unlock it for you if you are locked out. If you lose your keys, or an
unauthorized person has your key, we can make you a key from scratch or rekey
your locks so that the old key will no longer work. Included in the cost
of rekeying any lock is inspection, cleaning, lubrication and minor repair or adjustment
to the lock cylinders, latches and strikes. Broken or worn out components, like
pins, springs, clips and latches can often be replaced, which can save you the cost of
a new lock.
We stock parts for popular brands of residential door knobs and deadbolts used in our area
such as Kwikset and Schlage, and if the lock is not worth attempting repair, we will replace it for you for the price of the new lock.
If you are the owner of a
business you pay the same price for labor as a homeowner! We
do not label our customers, and we don't charge our commercial customer more for
labor just because they are a business. However, lock, lock parts and safe
requirements are different for businesses than they are for a homeowner.
Therefore, businesses may pay more for commercial grade hardware or high
security locks and safes. This type of hardware can be required by the Americans
with Disabilities Act, municipal, insurance or fire codes; but you will never pay
more for standard rekeying or masterkeying charges. We also carry lock
cylinders, latches and other parts for the most common commercial locking
systems currently in use in our service area including high security/restricted
locks and key systems such as ASSA and Medeco.
Autos
We can service the locks on almost any make and model of car
ever built and we can generate keys for vehicles when they are lost. There are
some exceptions, however. Some luxury vehicles like BMW and Mercedes Benz, etc.
are rarely seen in our service area, the nearest such dealers are over 100 miles
away, the tools and equipment to service these vehicles are prohibitively expensive
for a family owned small-business. Many of these vehicles, as is the case with
Mercedes-Benz, have locks that were
designed to be replaced and cannot be serviced. Therefore we cannot service all makes and models of cars, but we do
service just about every "regular" car made since the 1930's. Many newer cars
have transponder (RFID Technology) systems that require special keys and
equipment for programming. The programming equipment for the new vehicle
transponder systems can cost as much as $10,000, and that's just for American
and Japanese cars. European transponder equipment can cost even more. Currently, only GM (and some early Ford
PATS) vehicles are field
programmable without this expensive equipment. We can tell you over the phone or via email if your vehicle
requires the special transponder programming equipment to duplicate and/or generate
new keys for your vehicle. If we cannot service your car, we have relationships
with several entities in the area that have transponder programming equipment
and we can point you in the right direction.
